Kiki Porter is a choral conductor, music educator, and vocalist based in New York City. She is currently pursuing an Ed.M. in Music Education with Initial Teacher Certification at Teachers College, Columbia University, where she is entering her second year of study. During the 2026–27 school year, Kiki will student teach with the choral program at Booker T. Washington Middle School and assist with music instruction for students in Pre-K through second grade at Teachers College Community School.

Kiki currently works as a Child Chaperone at the Metropolitan Opera, returning professionally to an institution that played a formative role in her own musical development. She began performing with the Metropolitan Opera Children’s Chorus at a young age, appearing in more than 250 performances over eight seasons. She is also the Assistant Director of the Concert Choir at Every Voice Choirs, where she works with young singers in a collaborative and inclusive choral environment.

Kiki holds a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from Butler University, where she studied with Dr. Eric Stark and was selected as an Indianapolis Symphonic Choir Conducting Fellow. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Oberlin Conservatory. Her conducting experience has included work with choirs and orchestras as well as conducting workshops, masterclasses, and performances in New York City and beyond.

As a vocalist, Kiki is a Soprano 1 with The Cecilia Chorus of New York. Her performance background spans opera, choral music, and concert repertoire and has given her the opportunity to work with renowned conductors, composers, and artists throughout her musical career.

At the center of Kiki’s work is a commitment to creating musical spaces that are collaborative, welcoming, and artistically ambitious. Whether conducting, teaching, or performing, she strives to help singers develop confidence, musicianship, curiosity, and a meaningful connection to the communities around them.
